Things You Should Not Do On Your Period

1. Bathe without a tampon.  The point of a bath is to relax and get clean.  Hard to do when you're literally sitting in your own blood.  Think of it this way: Would you go swimming without a tampon if you were on your period?

2. More important than stewing in blood is arguing.  Imagine yourself.  Now imagine yourself full of hormones that partied all night and jacked-up emotions.  Now imagine yourself in this state with a friend you happen to disagree with about something.  And that's as far as I'll go.

3. Use your period as an excuse to not apologize to someone.  Okay, so this one is a little more serious.  Say you did get in a fight with someone while on your period.  While you can tell them that you were on your period and they'll understand, depending on the situation that isn't always going to be enough to erase hurt feelings.  You need a more meaningful apology and to take it more seriously.

4. Eat too much of salty things or sweets.  Salty things will only make cramps worse and make that icky bloated feeling worse by increasing the sodium content in your body, and 'too many' sweets (if that's possible) won't give you energy when you feel gross and need it, in fact, they'll make you feel more sluggish.

  1. I've never even worn a tampon, so I never wear a tampon in the bath. It's a bit odd bathing, though, so maybe I should try it.
